HISD strives to provide every student with a high-quality education that meets their needs and prepares them for life beyond the classroom. We do this by investing in strong instruction, supporting great teachers, developing school leaders, and creating a culture of high expectations and accountability. High expectations are held for students, educators, staff, and leadership. Parent engagement and community support is essential. Everyone in the system is accountable for clearly defined outcomes.
